Educated Arborists Serving Northwestern Vermont

Since 2003, Teachers Tree Service has approached tree care a little differently — with a focus on education, not just execution. We take the time to explain what we’re seeing, what your options are, and what makes the most sense for your property.

It’s just how we do things.

We're educated. We're insured. We're tree nerds — and we like it that way.

So Grateful

"Teachers Tree Service is AWESOME! I had a very difficult, large tree in a tight space that other tree folks said they would need to take down my fence and get access from a neighbors yard with some very heavy duty equipment. Teachers worked within my boundaries and got the job done! I am so grateful and recommend them. I will continue to use Teachers for all my tree work.”

What Makes Us Different

There are a lot of tree companies in Vermont. Several of the bigger names you'll see on signs and trucks are owned by national corporations or private equity firms. We're not. Teachers is locally owned, locally staffed, and answerable only to the homeowners and property managers we work for.

A few other things that genuinely set us apart:

  • 1

Tree-Focused, Not Equipment-Focused: We invest in the right tools, but the trees are the point — not the trucks.

  • 2

Plant Health Care Expertise: Our full PHC program covers deep root fertilization, emerald ash borer, Dutch elm disease, beech leaf disease, soil remediation, air spading, and root collar excavation — several that aren't offered anywhere else in our service area.

  • 3

Specialty Services Most Companies Don't Touch: Small woodlot management and habitat enhancement come straight from our operations manager’s graduate work in forest ecosystem health.

  • 4

We Say No When No Is the Right Answer: If your tree doesn't need to come down, we'll tell you. If a treatment won't actually help, we won't sell it to you. Repeat clients are 90% of our work, and we achieve that by being honest.

Let's Talk About Your Trees

Most tree work isn't an emergency. It's a decision — sometimes a big one, sometimes one you've been putting off because you weren't sure who to trust. We'd be glad to help you think it through.

A consulting arborist will walk the property, explain what we see, outline the options, and provide a written proposal to review at your own pace. No high-pressure sales. No rushed decisions. Just a conversation, the way it should be.
